Mohammad Reza Zibaei-Nejad
Researcher and Specialist in Women's and Family Studies
Dr. Mohammad Reza Zibaei-Nejad is one of the researchers and specialists in the field of women's and family studies in Iran. He began his seminary education in 1361 SH (1982/1983 CE) at the Qom Seminary, and in the years 1367 and 1368 SH (1988/1989 and 1989/1990 CE) he obtained, respectively, the second rank in Grade 7 and the first rank in Grade 8 of the seminary. From 1364 SH (1985/1986 CE), he was engaged for eleven years in teaching seminary literature in various schools of Qom, and from 1381 SH (2002/2003 CE) he began his collaboration with the Islamic Culture and Thought Research Institute as a member of the scientific council and the head of the women's group in the Encyclopedia of Hazrat Zaynab (peace be upon her). In the field of authorship, the book An Introduction to the System of Women's Personality in Islam: A Comparison of the Views of Islam and the West is one of his published works, and the books An Analysis of the Most Important Issues of Women and Family in Iran and Identity and Gender Roles are also found in the list of works associated with his name. In recent years, he has been introduced as the head of the Women and Family Research Institute, and in Ordibehesht 1404 SH (April/May 2025 CE), at the press conference of the "International Conference of Resilient Family" in Tehran, he explained the goals of this event and emphasized the necessity of empowering families to preserve moral values and confront media threats. The titles of his lectures and sessions in the years 1400 to 1402 SH (2021–2023 CE) were mainly centered on the axes of "Gender Theology," "Gender Problematology," "Family and Moral Resistance," and "Women's Political Participation." It should be noted that in some unofficial news sources, a person with the similar name "Mohammad Reza Zibaei" has been introduced who holds a PhD in Urban Planning, was born in 1358 SH (1979/1980 CE), and has registered for the parliamentary elections in the Rasht constituency; given the clear difference in the field of specialty and year of birth, he appears to be different from Dr. Mohammad Reza Zibaei-Nejad, the specialist in women's and family studies.
